Happy Earth Day! I am proud to live in a community that cares deeply about the environment. One of the main reasons that I am running for Township Committee is to champion sustainability and renew Maplewood's proud tradition of environmental leadership. Please take a moment to learn more about my positions on sustainability, fiscal responsibility, and other issues on my website.

Welcome neighbors,

I am really excited to share my first palm card with all of you.  It was designed by the great Rachel Zorel and provides a good overview of the issues that I think are important in the campaign.  I’ll be outside Bank of America in the Village tomorrow from 9 AM to Noon meeting voters and distributing these palm cards tomorrow.  Please come by and say hello, sign up for a lawn sign, and tell your friends and neighbors to do the same.

Alex and I hosted our first campaign volunteer meeting tonight.  We had a great crowd of friends, neighbors, and supporters, and everyone is ready to work hard to get our message out and win this election.  This is true grassroots and community organizing!  It is so inspiring and humbling that so many people are willing to dedicate their time to help me in this campaign.  I won’t let them down.

I am thrilled to share my campaign logo and lawn sign with my supporters.  Design by the wonderful Rachel Zorel. Please let me know if you would like a sign for your yard; we hope to get them out all over town so that everyone can see how . Thanks for the support!

I was proud to stand up last night with many other committed community members and express my opposition to both the redevelopment proposal at the post office site and the tax breaks for the developer. Despite overwhelming sentiment expressed by the large crowd in attendance, the Township Committee voted to proceed with both. One of my opponents, Jerry Ryan, cast the deciding vote in favor of the PILOT (payment in lieu of taxes) for the developer. This was a disappointing (but not surprising) result, and clearly shows that Maplewood needs new voices in local government.  I want to bring fresh ideas and be the next generation of leadership for our town. I will speak for, and listen to, young families and other concerned citi...

Tonight’s Township Committee Meeting will be critical for the future of the Post Office site and the proposed development project in the Village.  The Committee will be voting on moving forward with the developer, as well as on the PILOT (payment in lieu of taxes) that it plans to grant the developer.  I plan to attend with other concerned Maplewood residents and voice my concerns about the current development proposal and opposition to the proposed tax breaks for the developer.  Hopefully many others will do so as well and show the Township Committee that the public does not favor this plan.

It was a beautiful Spring morning in Maplewood. Had a great photo shoot with Jamie Bloom Meier of Live Love Lens Photography for my campaign website and literature.  Jamie was so easy to work with and helped us get some great results.  Here is a preview of some of the shots that Jamie captured.

Today was filing day. I brought my petitions to the Municipal Building this morning to get my name on the ballot for the June 2 primary election. Despite needing only 50 signatures to qualify, we collected over 150 this weekend! Thanks to all of our friends and supporters for the hard work. Now the real campaign begins.

Both the Village Green and Maplewoodian have published articles discussing my candidacy.  Check them out.  Hopefully just the start of lots of coverage we'll be receiving leading up to June 2.

Had a great day in Maplewood Village meeting voters, collecting signatures, and discussing issues. So grateful to all the family, neighbors, and friends (new and old) who are supporting me. I'm particularly thankful to my campaign co-chairs Fred Profeta (former Maplewood Mayor) and David Huemer (former Deputy Mayor) for encouraging me to run and having my back. We're putting together a great team, getting our message out, and running to win. Alex and I will be hosting a light brunch at our house (50 Sagamore Road) tomorrow morning from 10 AM to 1 PM for anyone who would like to come by, learn more about the campaign, and sign my petition. If you're interested, please come over. We'd love to see you.
