When is Election Day?

Tuesday November 6.  Polls are open in Maplewood from 6 AM to 8 PM.

 

Is Greg running with any other candidates?

Yes, Greg is running with fellow Democrat and Township Committee incumbent Nancy Adams.  Their campaign Facebook page can be found at www.facebook.com/adamslembrich.

 

Can I vote by mail?

Yes, under New Jersey law, any voter can now vote by mail. You do not need a reason to vote by mail.  Not sure you can make it to the polls?  Don’t want to wait until Election Day?  Simply vote by mail on your own schedule.  The process is easy.

 

Maplewood voters may apply for a mail-in ballot by submitting a written application to the Essex County Clerk's Office. The deadline to do so is October 30, 2018 (one week before the election).  Voters may also apply in person to the Clerk's office, or by authorized messenger, on any day up to 3:00 P.M. the day before the election. 

 

In order to vote by mail, you can download a Vote by Mail Application or pick one up in person at the Maplewood Township Clerk's Office in the Municipal Building or Essex County Clerk’s Office in Newark.  Then send the completed application to Essex County Clerk, P.O. Box 690, Newark, NJ 07101-0690 OR present the application in person at the Essex County Clerk's Office. 

 

The County Clerk cannot accept faxed or e-mailed copies of the Vote by Mail Application (unless you are an overseas voter), since an original signature is required.

 

When is the voter registration deadline?

October 16, 2018 (three weeks before the election).  Download a voter registration form or obtain one from the Maplewood Township Clerk at the Municipal Building.
